Our Community Involvement
For more than 40 years, since our founding in 1969, the physicians and staff of the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies have enjoyed giving back to the community by supporting events, programs, agencies, and sports teams in the area.
Our primary areas of community involvement are:
- not-for-profit health agencies and initiatives
- kids' health programs and activities
- schools
- sports teams
Funds for our sponsorships and donations are provided by the OCR physicians and employees.
Employees contribute $3 to our "Jeans Dollars" fund when they wear denim on Friday, which is our casual dress day. We ask employees for ideas about how to donate the "Jeans Dollars," and we make donations to not-for-profit agencies from time to time during the year. The physicians match the employees' Jeans Dollars at 100%.
We also conduct a "Food Drive" every November and December for the Food Bank for Larimer County. Employees and patients and family members contribute to the Food Drive.
The OCR physicians and employees gave $131,000 in 2011 as charitable gifts and sponsorships to not-for-profit and public agencies. Read details.
