Dr. Steven Seiler Awarded Board Certification in Orthopaedics
Dr. Steven Seiler has passed his board certification examination administered by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Seiler’s successful completion of the exam means he is board-certified in the specialty of orthopaedics.
The exam consists of two parts – a lengthy written exam and an intensive interview and review of patients’ surgeries with several examiners who are respected, experienced physicians selected by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery to question candidates for board certification.
Dr. Seiler joined the Orthopaedic Center of the Rockies on Sept. 1 as a specialist caring for patients with conditions and injuries of the hand and arm, including the wrist and elbow.

Dr. Seiler was in practice with another medical group in the region from 2007-2009. Prior to that, he received advanced (fellowship) training in the care of hand-wrist-arm-elbow injuries at The Hand Center of San Antonio, TX (2006-07). Dr. Seiler’s area of expertise is referred to as hand and upper extremity surgery.
Prior to fellowship training, Dr. Seiler completed his five-year orthopaedic residency at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic in Memphis (2001-06). He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio (1997-2001).
Outside of medicine, Dr. Seiler enjoys spending time with his family as well as hiking, skiing, and camping.
