The Medical Assistant fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include setting up procedures and exams, manage daily schedule, direct patients to proper clinical areas, schedule diagnostic test and surgical procedures, complete charts and charge tickets, and provide over all assistance to assigned physician.

Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification as a Registered Medical Assistant; EKG certification; current phlebotomy and CPR certifications.
