Dr. Rusnak Joins Orthopaedic Center as Trauma Specialist
Dr. Michael Rusnak has joined the Orthopaedic Center of the Rockies as a trauma physician.
Rusnak will have appointments at the Orthopaedic Center’s offices in Fort Collins and Loveland, including clinics for patients with fractures.
Rusnak will also take care of seriously injured patients with orthopaedic injuries who come to the trauma centers at Medical Center of the Rockies, Poudre Valley Hospital, and McKee Medical Center. He also takes care of knee disorders and injuries.
He joins the Orthopaedic Center after completing advanced training in the care of trauma patients through a fellowship program at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Prior to his fellowship, Rusnak completed orthopaedic residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. His medical degree is also from IU. (Fellowship programs provide an additional, or sixth, year of orthopaedic surgery training following the completion of a residency program.)
During his college days, Rusnak played quarterback for the Villanova University football team, earning recognition as a member of the Academic All-Yankee Conference Team (1994). He also enjoyed serving as a youth league coach in baseball and basketball during college.
Rusnak joins Drs. Mark McFerran and Rob Baer as the Orthopaedic Center’s trauma and fracture specialists. Rusnak is accepting appointments at the practice’s Fort Collins and Loveland offices. Call 970-419-7050 or 663-3975.
