Orthopaedic Center Has Four New Physician Positions for 2009-10

The Orthopaedic Center of the Rockies is seeking four new physicians to join the practice in 2009 or 2010. The four new positions and their opening dates are:

  • Hand/upper extremity orthopaedist in 2009 or 2010
  • Sports medicine surgeon in 2010
  • Pediatric surgeon in 2010
  • Podiatrist in 2009

The new physicians will help the Orthopaedic Center keep up with current and future patient requests for appointments and surgery.

We prefer to hire orthopaedists who have just completed a fellowship in their subspecialty, immediately following their five years of residency training. The requirements for the podiatry position are more flexible.

Our practice comprises 20 specialist physicians in orthopaedics, podiatry, and primary care sports medicine, who practice primarily in Fort Collins and Loveland, Colorado. We’re a busy, growing practice founded in 1969, which features exceptional quality, collegial relationships, and outstanding facilities.

The Orthopaedic Center has hired a new total joint surgeon for 2009, and brought on a new trauma surgeon and two primary care sports medicine doctors in 2008.

The group plans to build a new, larger facility to replace its current office in Loveland. We also have two physician-owned surgery centers, an MRI center at our Fort Collins location, therapy services at both clinics (including aquatherapy in Fort Collins), digital X-ray and PACS systems, and paid call coverage for three hospitals, including regional trauma center (one level II center and two level III hospitals).

Enjoy northern Colorado’s special blend of urban lifestyle and outdoor activities, along with mild seasons, excellent schools, and Colorado State University. Fort Collins ranked #2 on Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live” for 2008.

We offer partnership with multiple investment opportunities, regionally competitive recruitment package, and an opportunity to join an outstanding team. Benefits include health, life, dental, and disability, plus relocation allowance, and 401k and profit sharing.

Here are more details about the three orthopaedic surgery positions. We will have more information in the near future about the podiatry opportunity.

Hand & Upper Extremity Orthopaedist (2009 or 2010)

Please note that our hand surgeons take general call plus hand call, and perform microvascular procedures.

Sports Medicine Surgeon (2010)

We’re looking for a surgeon who has recently completed a sports medicine fellowship and who can perform a variety of sports medicine procedures.

Our sports medicine surgeons take general call. We have exclusive coverage for three hospitals.

Pediatric Ortho Surgeon (2010)

We’re seeking a surgeon out of a pediatric fellowship. This position would include general orthopaedics plus a share of call coverage at the three area hospitals.

Podiatrist (2009)

We need a second clinic-based podiatrist. This physician will focus on patients in our Loveland office.

<Please note: As of November 6, 2009, these four positions have been filled.>
