Dr. Mark Durbin is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the care of people who have hand, arm, elbow, and shoulder injuries or conditions. He has patient appointments in our Fort Collins and Loveland, CO offices.

Dr. Durbin holds board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed fellowship training in hand/microvascular surgery at the University of Utah. Fellowship training provides an additional or sixth year of orthopaedic surgery for physicians following their five years of residency training. Dr. Durbin did his residency at the University of Indiana Medical Center.

The focus of his practice is surgery and other treatment for problems that affect a person's hand, arm, elbow, shoulder. He also provides care for many patients with work-related injuries and conditions. 

Dr. Durbin takes care of patients from OCR's service area of northern Colorado, Wyoming, and western Nebraska. 

Dr. Durbin is currently working on an orthopaedic research project to assess the performance of an implant to replace damaged bone in the forearm. The implant is made of pyrocarbon, a form of carbon similar to graphite that is known for its durability. Several other physicians at OCR are also participating in this research, which has been approved by the Poudre Valley Health System Institutional Review Board (IRB). 

His outside interests include spending time with his family and skiing, biking, golf, and running.
