Steven J. Seiler, MD
Dr. Steven Seiler is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon based in our Fort Collins and Loveland, CO offices.
Dr. Seiler specializes in caring for patients with hand and arm conditions and injuries -- including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and fingers. Additionally, he will take care of patients who have various other orthopaedic conditions or injuries.
Dr. Seiler had been in practice as a hand and upper extremity surgeon with another medical group in the area (2007-'09) prior to joining OCR.
He holds board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as advanced training in a fellowship program in hand and upper extremity conditions and injuries. (Fellowship programs provide an additional, or sixth, year of focused orthopaedic surgery and patient care following the completion of a residency program.)
Dr. Seiler enjoys helping people regain their physical health and ability to engage in many of the outdoor activities enjoyed by most Coloradans. Dr. Seiler takes care of patients from OCR's service area of northern Colorado, Wyoming, and western Nebraska. Many of his patients have work-related injuries or conditions.
Dr. Seiler is currently working on an orthopaedic research project to assess the performance of an implant to replace damaged bone in the forearm. The implant is made of pyrocarbon, a form of carbon similar to graphite that is known for its durability. Several other physicians at OCR are also participating in this research, which has been approved by the Poudre Valley Health System Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Outside of medicine, Dr. Seiler enjoys spending time with his family as well as skiing, hiking, and camping. They live in Windsor.
