Satoru Chamberlain, MD
Dr. Satoru Chamberlain is an orthopaedic surgeon who sees patients in our Fort Collins and Loveland, CO offices. He specializes in the care of people who have hand, arm, elbow, and shoulder injuries and conditions.
Dr. Chamberlain holds board certificatrion through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and has completed fellowship (advanced) training in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Chamberlain completed his fellowship in 1996 at the prestigious Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby, United Kingdom.
The focus of Dr. Chamberlain's practice is surgery and care for injuries and disorders of the hand, arm, elbow, and shoulder (hand and upper extremity). He also takes care of many people who have work-related injuries or conditions.
Dr. Chamberlain also practices general orthopaedics. He takes care of patients from OCR's service area of northern Colorado, Wyoming, and western Nebraska.
Dr. Chamberlain is currently working on an orthopaedic research project to assess the performance of an implant to replace damaged bone in the forearm. The implant is made of pyrocarbon, a form of carbon similar to graphite that is known for its durability. Several other physicians at OCR are also participating in this research, which has been approved by the Poudre Valley Health System Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Outside of medicine, Dr. Chamberlain enjoys spending time with his family.
