The PACS Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems. Duties include:
Overseeing equipment maintenance, systems testing, upgrades, and installations
Overseeing PACS Administrator Level 1 personnel, delegating duties, mentorship, staff performance, and payroll
Act as a Liaison between the Radiology Department and Information Technology Department
Provide PACS training to new users and working cordially with multiple departments and providers
Develop new policies and plans for effective functioning of the facilities, delegate responsibilities to subordinates in the department
Effectively communicate with management regarding trends and issues
Perform prescribed diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols
Ensure optimal care/treatment to patient population
Required to follow all OCR as well as departmental policies and procedures
