Accounts Payable Clerk
Description:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for a variety of clerical and accounting duties related to accounts payable for the organization.
- Works with leadership for appropriate invoice approval, general ledger coding, timely processing of invoices for payment, and weekly check runs.
- Maintains vendor accounts.
- Reviews and researches vendor statements as needed.
- Prepares use tax reports and processes for payment.
- Researches invoice and payment information as needed.
- Receives and processes incoming mail.
- Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping all information confidential.
- Required to follow OCR and departmental policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel; Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains experience preferred
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of accounting skills and GAAP principles.
- Ability to perform data entry with speed and accuracy and utilize 10 key by touch.
