What is orthopedic urgent care?
Orthopedic urgent care specializes in treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening. We focus on bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
Do I need an appointment at Longmont Orthopaedic Urgent Care?
When should I go to orthopedic urgent care vs. a regular urgent care?
This is a great question! Choose orthopedic urgent care when you have a non-life-threatening injury or condition affecting your bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, or tendons, such as:
- Suspected fractures (broken bones): Especially if the bone is visibly deformed or you can’t bear weight.
- Sprains and strains: Moderate to severe pain, swelling, or difficulty moving the affected joint.
- Dislocations: A joint that appears out of place.
- Acute back or neck pain: That limits your movement.
- Tendon injuries: Difficulty moving a finger or other body part.
- Sports injuries: Those requiring immediate assessment and treatment.
Choose regular urgent care hospitalization for general illnesses like colds, flu, fevers, minor cuts, and other non-orthopedic issues.
