Billing Manager


The Billing Manager is responsible for:

  • All aspects of the daily work flow of the billing staff within the business office
  • Direct supervision of the medical billers for charges and receipts, patient check-out, and the claims auditor
  • Working closely with departmental leadership to establish policies and/or procedures, deadlines and goals for billing staff, implementing policies within the billing process
  • Working closely with departmental leadership and billing staff to ensure that daily bookkeeping tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Develop thorough understanding of billing software programs to ensure maximum utilization of software
  • Troubleshoot software programs as needed to maintain accurate and timely billings
  • Maintain current and up-to-date reference materials on insurance plans and obtain a concise understanding of these regulations
  • Ensure complete compliance with all insurance rules and regulations
  • Work with leadership to ensure proper staffing levels in order to provide customer service and meet established deadlines

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in the insurance or medical industry, or equivalent experience in business/accounting
  • Have management and collection experience (preferred)
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
  • Have strong organizational and communication skills

Pay: $58,000-74,000/year, commensurate with experience
