Qualified candidates will work closely with the MRI technologists and MRI office staff, radiologists and OCR clinic staff. Must be cleared to work in and around an MRI scanner and must be able to lift 50 lbs. An educational background in health sciences, human anatomy, patient care, and medical terminology is preferred. Medical Assistant program or other health sciences program is also favorable. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to multitask in a busy medical office. The MRI Technologist Aide will assist the MRI Technologist with exam set up, escorting patients to and from the scanner, changing rooms and lobby. Good communication skills are required to assist with initial screening, patient education and to provide clear and concise directions pertaining to the exam and MRI safety. This position will also aid patients with mobility limitations to and from changing rooms, on and off the MRI table, and to and from parking lot. This position is responsible for administrative duties to include tracking results and research, communicating with ordering providers, and authorizations teams. Additional duties consist of cleaning and stocking the MRI scanning room, changing rooms, and lobby, answering phones, and the check in/check out processes.
