The Orthopaedic Center of the Rockies is a growing medical group with several sub-specialties represented, including: trauma, spine care, joint replacement, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, shoulder and knee surgery, sports medicine and neuropsychology/concussion care.

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced physical therapist to add to the multi-disciplinary team at the OCR Regional Concussion Center in our Fort Collins and Loveland, Colorado facilities. The therapy service is a busy and friendly unit where advanced skills are essential. There is a well-structured team and ongoing continuing education is encouraged.

We are looking for a self-reliant person, experienced in vestibular rehabilitation post- concussion. An advanced certification in vestibular rehabilitation will be essential, and Emory course certification is preferred.

This position requires skills in organization and innovation and coordination of a caseload in a rapidly growing outpatient clinic. This position will liaison with the neuropsychology and sports medicine teams, as well as other physical therapists and certified athletic trainers, both within OCR as well as outlying regions.

You will be working within a service of 15 physical and occupational therapists as well as 15 certified athletic trainers in addition to our 20 orthopedic surgeons and 7 sports medicine physicians.

Position Summary:

Responsible for evaluating/assessing needs of referred patients and formulating treatment plans, including goal setting. Provide therapy services as defined in treatment plans. Work cooperatively with patients, physicians, case managers, and adjustors and therapy support staff. May supervise physical therapy assistants/students, aides and certified athletic trainers.

The physical guidelines include ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours/day, bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, assist patient in arising from exam table, push wheelchair patients, and assist patient in arising from and returning to wheelchair.



Minimum requirements: graduate of approved Physical Therapy program at an accredited university or college; licensed physical therapist in the state of Colorado in good standing, current CPR certification, specialized vestibular physical therapy training with extensive prior orthopedic/manual therapy experience. Strong skills in managing stressful situations, demonstrated ability in organizational and communication skills. Experience with electronic medical record documentation tools.
