About Rocci Trumper, MD

Dr. Rocci Trumper is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist who has patient appointments available at OCR’s Fort Collins office. Patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, meniscal tears, or other sports-related knee injuries may schedule appointments directly.

Dr. Trumper is a fellowship trained sports medicine and knee specialist who has focused exclusively on the evaluation and treatment of knee issues since 2002. His practice is designed for the athlete in all of us and focused on patients with knee injuries, pain, or instability.

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair and reconstruction.
Arthroscopic meniscal repair.
Patellar femoral realignment procedures.
Partial knee replacement.
Cartilage restoration procedures.

Dr. Trumper has performed over 5500 anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions and remains passionate about improving patient experiences and outcomes. Dr. Trumper and his team are active in clinical outcome research through his Progressive Research in Sports Medicine (PRISM) Foundation. He is also the founder of 4-Bar Precision Sports Medicine LLC, a company focused on development of surgical technology platforms to improve ACL and knee ligament surgical results by reducing post operative complications, stiffness, and arthritis.

Dr. Trumper’s research is nationally recognized. He has been recently selected to present ACL research outcomes at the prestigious American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) 2026 specialty day.

Dr. Trumper is a lead team physician for Colorado State University, Colorado Eagles hockey and several local high school teams.

He holds board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, together with subspecialty fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine. Dr. Trumper is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He serves as the President of the OCR Board of Directors.

A Colorado native, Dr. Trumper cares for patients from the local region as well as patients of all ages from throughout the United States.
