Amber Vance, ACNP-C, FNP

Amber was born and raised in West Central Illinois and attended Missouri State University on a softball scholarship.  She completed her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and double minors in Biomedical Science and Sociology in 2003. By the end of 2004, she had completed an Accelerated Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree through Cox College in Springfield, MO.  Amber worked as a Registered Nurse in the operating room for 5 years before obtaining her RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) certification.  Amber went on and became an Acute Care and Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012 after completing her Master’s of Science degree at Colorado State University-Pueblo.  Amber joined OCR in 2011 and worked for Dr. Michael Houghton, Foot and Ankle Specialist, until 2019 when she joined the Trauma program. Outside of medicine, Amber enjoys spending time with her family, any outdoor activities (especially hiking and skiing), playing sports, and traveling.
