Lucas Schnell, DO
Dr. Lucas Schnell is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Shoulder, Sports Medicine & Joint Specialist, and one of the newest members of the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies team. Dr. Schnell graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dakota State University in 2003 when he earned his Bachelor of Science. He went on to get his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine in 2009, completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri in 2014, and received a Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship from St. Francis Shoulder Center in Columbus, Georgia in 2015. He has been a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Shoulder Specialist in the Denver area for the last seven years.

Dr. Schnell graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dakota State University in 2003 when he earned his Bachelor of Science. He has been a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Shoulder Specialist in the Denver area for the last seven years.
Besides his Board Certification and Colorado Medical License, Dr. Schnell is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Rocky Vista University and has a Colorado Division of Worker’s Compensation Level 2 Accreditation. He has presented at various conferences in the field of healthcare and orthopaedics and has a handful of publications surrounding his orthopaedic specialties. He is currently a member of the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedics, American Osteopathic Association, and Colorado Medical Society.
As a major player in the success of the communities he’s lived in over the past decade-plus, Dr. Schnell has served as the Team Physician for various schools, the Midwest Classic PGA Tournament, and the Kansas City Comets Indoor Soccer Team. He was able to experience practicing medicine abroad when he participated in an International Medical Mission in the Dominican Republic in 2009.
In his free time, Dr. Schnell enjoys golfing, snowboarding, biking, hiking, and enjoying time with his wife and three daughters.
