Our personalized care includes both surgical and conservative treatments.

If you have a concern with your hand, wrist, or arm, one of our surgeons would be pleased to help you! Our physicians have helped active people and athletes just like you for many years.

The Hand & Upper Extremity

The hand, wrist, arm, elbow and shoulder are extremely complex parts of the human body, with the hand alone consisting of 27 bones.

The hand and arm enable us to do hundreds of seemingly routine activities every day, as we work, play, and enjoy our time with friends and family.

Because we use our hands and arms so often for such a variety of tasks, many people can experience a broken or badly injured hand, finger, wrist, or elbow each year.

Drs. Mark Durbin, Satoru ChamberlainSteven Seiler, and Bret Peterson all have years of experience specializing in surgery of the hand and wrist, as well as the arm, elbow, and shoulder.

Dr Peterson is a native of Fort Collins who graduated from Rocky Mountain High School. He went on to the University of Colorado, including the CU medical school. Dr. Peterson returned to Fort Collins and joined OCR in 2013.

Our hand and upper extremity specialists hold board certification. They also have special training in treating a spectrum of issues — from strains and broken bones to microscopic tendon surgeries, and joint replacement for the fingers and hand. Finger joint replacement treats trauma or severe arthritis.

In addition, the physicians perform surgery for conditions that affect the three major bones of the arm, the elbow joint and its tendons, as well as the shoulder.
