The certified athletic trainers (AT staff) for the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies work at schools and sporting events around the region, providing preventive and injury care for athletes.
The certified athletic trainers provide rapid treatment of athletic injuries, as well as care that can help prevent injuries or keep a small injury from getting worse. They also work with athletes in the therapy department, assisting with their rehabilitation and return to play.
All of the AT’s employed at the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies are certified by NATABOC, the national credentialing association for athletic trainers.
The Athletic Trainers work with:
- High Schools in Berthoud, Erie, Fort Collins, Frederick, Longmont, Loveland, Lyons, Mead, Niwot, and Windsor
- Colorado Eagles
- High School, College, and certain PRCA rodeo events
Our AT’s also assist USA Wrestling in providing sports medicine care both at domestic and international events. OCR’s athletic trainers have provided care at a number of World Championships and Olympic Games.
