Ryan L. Hartman, MD
Dr. Ryan Hartman is an orthopaedic surgeon who has patient appointments in our Fort Collins and Loveland, CO, offices. He joined the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies in January 2011.
Dr. Hartman specializes in taking care of pediatric patients, from newborns through teen-agers, and people of all ages who have a sports, athletic, or recreational injury.
Dr. Hartman has experience with many kinds of sports injuries and children's orthopaedic conditions. He takes care of patients from OCR's service area of northern Colorado, Wyoming, and western Nebraska.
He has advanced training in both pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine surgery through two fellowship programs (2009-2010), at Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO, and the Cincinnati Sports Medicine Center, respectively. Fellowship programs provide additional, highly specialized training for a physician following the completion of their residency program. The additional training gives orthopaedic surgeons the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in their area of interest.
Dr. Hartman enjoys helping people of all ages regain their health and ability to engage in their favorite sports or recreational pursuits. He was born and raised in Wyoming, and spent his high school years in Fort Collins, graduating from Fort Collins High School in 1993.
At OCR, he is the primary physician for the care of children's orthopaedic conditions. He succeeded Roger Sobel, MD as the practice's pediatric specialist. Dr. Sobel retired in April 2010.
In sports medicine, Dr. Hartman joins Drs. Rocci Trumper, Dale Martin, Sean Grey, and David Beard in providing surgery to correct athletic and recreational inujuries.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hartman enjoys spending time with his family, as well as traveling, playing tennis, running, reading, skiing, and hiking.
