About Tammy Ng, MD
Dr. Ng is a primary care sports medicine physician and board-certified pediatrician.
Growing up, Dr. Ng loved gymnastics but did not start taking classes until she was fifteen years old. After realizing that she was still unable to do the splits nearly six months into training, she retired from this endeavor, instead, choosing to pursue medicine. She studied Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior at UC Davis, then moved to Philadelphia to complete medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine. After discovering how fun and gratifying it can be to care for children, she decided to become a pediatrician and returned to UC Davis for her pediatric residency. During a pediatric orthopedic surgery rotation at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children during her fourth year of medical school, she also her discovered her love of musculoskeletal and sports medicine.
Dr. Ng completed her primary care sports medicine fellowship training at the University of Washington, where she served as head team physician for Everett Community College and Garfield High School. Dr. Ng also served as an assistant team physician for the University of Washington’s gymnastics team and the Seattle Seawolves, a professional rugby team.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ng loves assembling jigsaw puzzles, cooking a variety of cuisines, baking cookies and muffins, and visiting amusement parks with her husband.
