About Thomas Anderson, DO
Dr. Tom Anderson is a board-certified primary care sports medicine physician.
Dr. Anderson has extensive experience with athletes and sports injuries from high school to the professional level, including rodeo. He serves as one of OCR’s team physicians for Colorado State University sports teams, along with Rocci Trumper, MD, Sean Grey, MD., Katie Scott, PhD, and Brian Lancaster, MD.
He has advanced training in sports medicine and non-surgical orthopaedics through a fellowship program at Grant Medical Center (2004-2005). Fellowship programs provide an additional year of highly specialized, focused training for physicians following completion of their residency program. Dr. Anderson completed his residency training at Broadlawns Medical Center and earned his doctor of osteopathy degree from Des Moines University.
He holds board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine, with a certificate of added qualifications in sports medicine. His board certification includes his specialty of sports medicine.
Dr. Anderson enjoys helping athletes at all levels regain their health and ability to engage in their sports or recreational pursuits. Dr. Anderson joined the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies in 2010, after five years in medical practice in the Loveland-Fort Collins area. He and his wife and children enjoy spending time together, as well as in the outdoors and at athletic events.
