Katie Scott, PhD
Dr. Katie Scott is a clinical neuropsychologist and one of the newest members of the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies team. Dr. Scott graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at Michigan State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She went on to receive her Master’s degree and PhD in Counseling Psychology at Colorado State University. This included a one-year pre-doctoral internship at the Denver VA, providing her the opportunity to serve our country’s veterans. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has extensive clinical experience, including practice at Spectrum Health Medical Group and the University of Michigan, where she assessed and treated patients with a wide variety of neurologic conditions. She also gained a wide range of experience caring for athletes with sport-related concussions across all levels of participation, including youth clubs, high school sports, and professional teams. Most recently, Dr. Scott has been a clinical neuropsychologist at Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, Florida, where she provided inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological services to a wide variety of patient populations. She also served as the Team Neuropsychologist for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Dr. Scott will serve as one of our OCR Team Physicians for the Colorado State University athletic department. Our team physicians for CSU also include Rocci Trumper, MD, Sean Grey, MD, and Thomas Anderson, DO.
Besides her extensive clinical experience, Dr. Scott is also a professional member multiple organizations, including the Society of Clinical Neuropsychology and APA’s Division of Rehabilitation Psychology. She has collaborated with colleagues across disciplines, including athletic training and neurology, on research projects investigating psychological factors following concussion as well as return-to-learn following concussion. With her extensive teaching and supervision experience in Colorado, Michigan, and most recently, Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Scott has a passion for collaboration and learning in the ever-expanding field of clinical neuropsychology.
